My view on God
Yes I know God is a sensitive Topic and a very personal topic for everyone. And rightly so!! Everyone has the right to have their own image of God. Because it lies within the scope of freedom of thought and belief, which is & should be a fundamental right. So with this said, my thoughts about God are that, God is a term used to define/describe anything and everything that we do not have the capacity to understand. Humans have always been explorers and tried to expand their knowledge base. But it still has its boundaries. Anything that lies beyond those boundaries, is for me "God". My Future, the society, the creation of mankind, where we go after death, also my own Body, unknown ways to me how my body functions! That can all be termed as God. Basically the unknown is God. The problem is that God is a very mystical term and we put god above all. But no, things that must be "worshipped" i.e. put at highest order, given top priority, don't depend on if its known or unknown. Knowing it just changes how it is supposed to be handled. It is just our duty to serve the "God". What do you mean by serve, means that you do something that improves their quality of life.
Just before a few hundred years, we thought Mars was a God with positive and negative powers. Now its just some run in the mill planet like any other. Earthquakes were caused by anger of God, now we know exactly why they occur, its no longer God's anger anymore. But their destructive power still persists. And we need to do the same things before we knew about them...RUN for our lives.
There are so many verses in every religion that say, ask and God will answer. Here is my take on it. If you ask, and ask really with honesty and purpose of gaining an answer, then in some unknown, magical..lets say godly way you get an answer from within. It usually lies in your own past experience, the answer. So basically you need to ask the "God" the correct appropriate question. That also means that God is also your past!! Past mistakes are written as your experience in your own memory and your body. Which is why they say, be completely honest to God, because god knows everything. Sure god knows everything, because that's how memory functions. That's why they say, talk to god honestly and clearly, because you want to see clearly what mistake from your past experience are you ignoring or repeating. Which raises a question, what is honesty?? I might ponder upon it in a later blog.
After thinking a bit more, I came to realize that why do we treat children as gods as well? Because God is pure potential! Because God is unknown, unknown in potential, Unknown can be anything, and kids are just pure raw potential. That's why kids are treated as gods in all cultures.
What is religion? simple...religion i.e. dharma, is social structure that gives guidelines of right and wrong. Moral dharma (with social outcomes) or Legal dharma (with legal outcomes) are two forms of Dharma. Its a personal choice how much of it do you want to follow. The moral part is the grey zone, legal part is the clear Black and White about right and wrong. Karma is your action that either align or dont align with Dharma. And the question to ask is, how much is your Karma aligning with your Dharma? And I would ofcourse want to judge it by how much right Karma I did i.e. What actions I take according to what aligns positively to my morals + according to legality of what is right.
Thats about it. Just serve, just ask what can I do so that the lives of people around me increase in value.
